With his music and immortal arias, Ennio Morricone has made the world dream and the world
has shown its gratitude by finally awarding him with the Oscar
award for Lifetime Achievement, the only prestigious trophy that was missing from an exceptional award list obtained in over a
half century of activity.

And yet they are neither fashion designers nor maître à penser. Quite simply, they are skilful and honest craftsmen who, in the last few years, have discovered and developed a rather artistic vein. During the last twenty years this small army of kitchen wizards have become points of reference for the Food culture and the Made in Italy.

Legend has it that Carlo Pertini founded the Slow Food movement out of a gut reaction following the opening of a Mc Donald’s restaurant in the heart of Rome, at Piazza di Spagna, although he won’t confirm nor deny the information, corroborating the myth.


It is the king of Calabria, but its kingdom has absolutely no political connotation. In fact, His Majesty the peperoncino (it is similar to red chili pepper) has been reigning undisputed in the region for centuries. More precisely, since Christopher Columbus returned from the Americas and brought along a few plants the Spanish royal family was intrigued.
