have only two wheels and no engine, but that’s where
the differences end. The sporting spirit and the
craftsmanship excellence that belong to the world
famous automobile manufacturer are now being applied
to another form of transportation. The bicycle. But don’t
dare consider them just that, for they are certainly not
ordinary products. First of all they are made by Alfa
Romeo. And secondly they are produced by the House’s
own Style Center in collaboration with Compagnia
Ducale. They have already been ranked as top-of-the-line
and perched at the peak of their category they glorify
Italian sporting elegance across the world. The bicycles
are entirely produced in Italy by master artisans, using
components of high technological content, innovative
designs, with frames built by master craftsmen for performances
that satisfy even the most demanding cyclist.
Some examples? The “Stradale”, for example, is a super
sport model reminiscent of the Alfa Romeo 159
Sportwagon line. Its frame line is fully dislocated forward
to impart a driving approach similar to that of the Alfa
Romeo cars. The framework is in aluminum alloy, coupled
with a carbon fiber fork that only reveals itself through
the classic slots typically found alongside the car’s shield
and proposed, here, in an unusual version.
Or the mountain bike named “Cross”, because it is born
from the concept of the “Kamal” It is equipped with a
HM40 carbon frame, front and rear disk brakes, fork with
Poploc clamp shock absorption, to smooth out the
terrain’s ruggedness and strong and powerful wheels that
keep it firmly “gripped” to the ground. And finally, a true
gem, the “Competizione” which takes its name from the
Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, the exclusive limited
edition car from the Turin based company.
The “Competizione” is outfitted with the Ultralight HM40
carbon frame, high technology components, integrated
seat post, Record Ultra Torque CT Carbon crankset and
Bora ultra profile wheels. These Alfa Romeo are truly
unique bicycles. And, above all, they are made in Italy. |
